PP Plugin CS4/CS5
#11
I'm trying to get the Studio Plugin working on CS5 64 bit on Windows 7. Can't get it to work. Have used PP to install the plug in but it doesn't show up under Filters. Any ideas?

hi phs,

You may try to run cs5 in 32 bit mode as i did in my mac (maybe same as pc) and it will show on filters. We will have to wait until PP studio will be made compatible with cs5 64 bit mode...cheers.

If you just have the standard version of Portrait Professional the plugin is not available in Photoshop.
To access the plugin in Photoshop you must have the Studio version.

If you have the Studio version, open it then click on Help and put "plugin for Photoshop" in the Search tab. You will then get a dialogue giving you instructions of what to do.

can you contact the support for Portrait Professional by creating a support ticket. If you just bought Portrait Professional and want to upgrade to the Studio version now they might be able to help with the price.

you can open a support ticket in Italian here:

or in English here:

I was finally able to get this to work when a technical support agent gave me this information:

The Photoshop plug-in can be installed by going to the File menu in Portrait Professional (Preferences on a Mac), then Settings, and then Plug-in.

If the path to your Photoshop plug-in directory does not come up automatically, click the browse button and browse to your Photoshop plug-in directory (e.g. for PS v6, my directory is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 6.0\Plug-Ins\), and click Install Plug-in.

For CS3 and CS4, the correct directory is normally ...Photoshop CS3\Plug-Ins\Filters

In Win 7 there will be: C drive>Programs>Adobe>CS4 (64 bit)>Plug-ins: as well as
C drive>Programs (x86)>Adobe>CS4>Plug-ins: (for 32 bit)
Make sure you have the correct placement for Portrait Professional 9 Plug-in activation.

Hopes this helps
