I think you did a very good job. About the only way to get rid of the fly aways is in photoshop.... and it is still a pain....

I figured there would be no easier way of doing It. The hair smoothing tool took care of some but, not all.

On this picture, with a flat background, the touch-up brush (with a small radius) might also work on some flyaway hairs.
