my computer is only 32 bit, can I buy the Standard Edition
#1
Hi and thank you for an answer.

My computer is only 32 bit and I see it says you need 64 bit.

I see on the comparision chart, I think that the Standard Edition could use the 32 bit.
If I buy the Standard Edition can I use it on my 32 bit computer.

The "Studio Max" version is 64 bit and is designed for very large images from a camera with more than 24 mpix that need the 64 bit addressing to handle the file.

If you are with a 32 bit and:
1. Do not want the ability to use as a plug-in.
2. Do not want to use RAW files.
3. Do not want to Read & write TIFFs containing 48 bits per color.
If you agree with all three above, then the "Standard" version is fine. It is stand alone only.
By all means, you can start with the "Standard " version and then latter upgrade to Studio or Max with paying only the difference in what you have already paid to the cost of the version you are stepping up to.
