After a computer crash and reinstalling all the software, Portrait Professional Studio wouldn't appear in my PhotoShop filter dropdown menu.

The eventual solution was installing the plugin file PSFilterPPLauncher64 in the folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins

instead of in the folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins
