I was a little disconcerted when I first tried PP after purchasing to find that it wouldn't open RAW or PSD files. This means that I have to open a PSD, save it as a jpeg or TIFF, process with PP, save as jpeg (with resultant loss of quality) or TIFF, then re-open in Photoshop to process the image and save as a PSD.

Is there any chance of PP being able to open and work on either or both PSDs or RAW files?

You have to buy Portrait Professional Max to open Raw files.   If you have already purchased Portrait Professional, you can buy Max at a discount here.  We have no plans to support PSD, as it would be a lot of work that we could put to better use elsewhere!
