Subject Wearing A Hat - harrybphotography.com - 06-04-2014

I do a lot of photos where subjects are wear hats. You can't choose the forehead area when the subject is wearing a hat. After choosing the other parts of the face, PP leaves a weird blotch or color on the front of the person's hat. I don't know how to get rid of that, is there anything I can do?

Go to Skin Smoothing Controls>[View/Edit Skin Area]. Cut back the "skin" which is automatically detected, in this case, on the hat. It happens almost all the time in older version of PP but in the new version I am using, it seems to be able to detect skin much better.

Note that [View/Edit Skin Area] button is also in Skin Lighting Controls and Skin Coloring Controls.
