Use PPS before or after LR or PS? - Skanter123 - 12-09-2012

Hi, I'm a new user of PPS11. I'm using it as a plugin in LR and/ or PS.

Is it advisable to do editing in PPS11 before or after making other adjustments (curves, color balance, noise reduction, sharpening, etc.)?

Thanks in advance,

Sam, NYC

I found that the only thing you must never do first is a "Quick Select" and then "Refine edges" in PS. PP cannot handle transparent area around the face.

OK. But what about question of using PP before or after LR or PS editing? Anyone?

Sam, I have used PP both before and after LR and PS. Then I found that it is best for PP to be the first step. Having said this, the exposure must be correct. Otherwise, adjust before going to PP.

Another don't: never apply blur before going to PP.
